- Solid state amp
- Discrete component design
- Great for almost all headphones
LD X1 is the current flagship solid state amplifier from Little Dot. This amp was designed to drive most of the flagship headphone. Not only it has a lot of power, but it is very detail at the same time. It drives both high or low-impendence dynamic headphone, and it also drives planar headphones perfectly as well.
LD X1 uses discrete component design in order to achieve the highest standard both on charts and actual listening experience, and this is something that an integrated circuit design would be having difficulties to reach such a standard. Also, due to the working state cannot be changed on an integrated circuit design, it cannot be an actual “pure class-A” amplifier.
The components, including Kendeil, Vishay, ELNA and SILMIC II silk capacitors, were carefully chosen for maximum synergy; delivering purity of sound, bombastic dynamics, silky details, and three dimensional sound-stage imaging.
